AMANDA FRIEND Amanda came to Bountiful after moving to the Eastern Shore from Philadelphia where she ran her own successful design firm. Prior to that, she worked as the lead designer in a New Jersey firm that specialized in custom yachts. The quality of Amanda’s work has been repeatedly recognized by her peers. She has given design seminars in New York, Connecticut, the British Virgin Islands, and on Nantucket. Her interiors have also been published in several yachting magazines. Amanda began her career in fine arts working with legends like Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg. She says: “They taught me how to see and think like an artist. They used untraditional elements in untraditional ways in their art. I continue to apply this technique to my interior design work, which I see as creating three-dimensional art.” |
